Vaera or the possibility to change the time

וארא אל אברהם אל יצחק ואל יעקב באל שד״י ושמי הוי׳ לא נודעתי להם
“I showed Myself to Abraham Isaac and Jacob as “Almighty-Self Sufficient (Shadday)”, but My Name ‘Shall Be-Is-Was’ I did not let them know”. Moses was chosen for this revelation that transcends the ordinary orders of time.
King Solomon said :
“What there was is what there shall be, there is nothing new under the sun.”
The total vision of life is cyclical.
Yet as Moses is now being shown there exists the possibility of editing time.
This is represented by Teshuva repentance which erases past wrongs.
The revelation to individual prophets who live in the desert, is not the same as those who
build communities, and nations.
Unlike individual solitary prophets, Moses must also be the voice of his People.
And many people are sinners who need cleansing.
Moses must help free them from the clutches of greed and injustice within a social setting.
This is why Moses is told that his mission is different. So that his natural penchant for spirituality and solitary life does not disconnect him from the fate of those who would need his guidance.
The name that Moses is now learning contains all the possessive declination i, he, she.
It is connected to all different perspectives joining as one complete wholesome unity of contribution and love.
His guidance as a prophet must transcend the generations accompany the people through their ups and downs and still remain relevant applying to all stages of civilization and culture.
