Senegal-Israel: Israel Embassy Offers 50 Sheep for Tabaski

Israel’s ambassador to Dakar, King Rosenblit, Tuesday offered 50 sheep to associations, childcare and disability organizations, and others who are needy for the celebration of the Muslim holiday Eid el Kebir or Tabaski, noted the APS.
Part of this donation was donated to associations, childcare structures and handicapped people on the occasion of the “10th edition of the sheep donation” initiated by the Israeli diplomatic representation in Dakar.
Each association or structure received two sheep donated by the new Israeli ambassador who said he was “happy to continue this tradition of embassy symbol of friendship, mutual aid and solidarity between the peoples of Israel and Senegal ”.
The other part of the gift was handed over Wednesday to the needy at the residence of the Israeli ambassador in the presence of Imam Oumar Diene.
“This event is more symbolic for me, because it marks my first days in Dakar. I am happy to continue this tradition of the embassy, ​​a symbol of friendship, mutual aid and solidarity between the peoples of Israel and Senegal, “said King Rosenblit who will present his letters of credit in the coming days .
“I am very moved to be with you today. This meeting is my second (social) course on Senegal. The first course of history of Senegal and Africa took place this weekend at the island of Goree, “said the 51-year-old diplomat who served in Qatar, Oman, Russia and Egypt .
” History makes it possible to know people, it helps build bridges between states and peoples. I look forward to discovering other facets of Senegal and its people, “said Rosenblit, who holds a master’s degree in Public Relations from the Hebrew University and the Civil Center of Administration.
He also holds a Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the Hebrew University and a Bachelor’s degree in General Linguistics from the Hebrew University.
King Rosenblit, married with three children including a daughter, speaks English, Arabic, Russian and ” gets to know French ”.
