Rabbi Daniel Farhi died at 79

Rabbi Daniel Farhi left this world on the night of August 23, 15 Eloul, in Nice surrounded by Paule Farhi, his wonderful wife and his daughter Deborah announced his son Rabbi Gabriel Farhi. He was the founding Rabbi of the Jewish Liberal Movement of France (MJLF). Tolerance and determination are the two words that characterized him. He was a credible alternative to a corrupt Judaism from elsewhere. He alone embodied the symbolism of European Judaism. Rabbi Daniel Farhi had instituted with Serge Klarsfeld the reading names of Jewish deportees from France during Yom HaShoah. He died at the age of 79. All our condolences to his dear wife Paule Farhi and to his children.
