Municipalities in Israel: FJN could support lists of Black Jewish candidates

FJN will try to awaken an Israeli society indifferent to the growing phenomenon of racism denounced by the Israeli political class.
In 2012, in a city like Kiryat Malachi, it is clear that Black Jews are second-class citizens
area in Israel. 120 owners of this city provoked outrage: in a TV program, some of them spoke of Ethiopian “cockroaches”, and blamed their “smell”, signing a pledge not to rent or sell an apartment to black jew families. Benyamin Netanyahu promised that Israel would eradicate the racism suffered by some 135,000 black-skinned fellow citizens.
There is no political determinism but there is a political diagnosis to be made in Israel.
The FJN is not a classic movement which considers that all those who are in place are null and we, because we are Black, we are the best. FJN remind that democracy is based on a number of values, attitudes and practices that can take different forms and expressions according to the cultures and societies of the world: tolerance, solidarity, compromise, equality and equity, respect … These values are also those found in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These operating rules of democracy help to fight against discrimination of all kinds and racism.

  1. I support your position and am disturbed by racism in Israel, it as one whose. Suited regularly I also meet Jews of African origin who are doing very well and applaud them. One, an MK, spoke to my Stand with Us group and made clear there is a huge difference between historical slavery and racism in US and apartheid in South Africa and the reality of ISRAEL. More need be done and will be done. We must recognize News from all over Africa and other countries.
