FJN is asking its members and friends to rally around the urgent subject of Ethiopia, an emblematic African nation, who is currently under attack by ethnic separatist forces.We must support the Ethiopian people and government in this moment of need, and be confident that the forces of good will prevail.
It should make no doubt to anyone by now, that whoever attacks Ethiopian integrity is aiming at destabilising African unity as a whole.
Addis Ababa the capital of Ethiopia hosts the African Union. As we speak, many African diplomats from all 55 countries in Africa, are personally feeling the impact of this agression.
FJN calls upon Afro descendants communities everywhere, to express their support for the unity of Ethiopia, under the leadership of its elected government.
It is time for leaders of the AU to show that territorial and national integrity of countries in Africa is not negotiable, and to reject and denounce this typical outside interference coming in the shape of ethnic violence on our continent.
We cannot forget the atrocities committed by the Derg regime, and their attempt to reverse the aura of Ethiopia from an exemplary African and global success, to a cynical equivalent of famine and destruction. Behind these many attacks on the image and integrity of Ethiopia, it is the African character being targeted, and caricatured as inept and incapable of rising to the occasion of a modern and prosperous future. The enemies of Ethiopia are intent on keeping all of Africa on the defensive, and making it vulnerable to political instability. People of the African diaspora should by now realise that the respect of their own rights, as equal citizens in the world, is directly connected to the respect of African countries. Ethiopia represents that respect. Cross-cultural social unity is an everyday reality in Ethiopia. Therefore whenever Ethiopia is attacked, Africans everywhere are concerned. But soon, with The All Mighty help, just as racism has been exposed in our generation as stupidity, attempts at stopping African development shall be understood as vanity. The victory of Ethiopia shall prove that.
