Death of Jacques Chirac.

FJN was informed about the death of Jacques Chirac with great sadness
He is the one who reconciled France with its tragic past by recognizing, on the very premises of the Vel ‘d’Hiv, the responsibility of France in the deportation of the Jews.
For the French Jews, Jacques Chirac is also, if not primarily, the man of a behavior and an act. This behavior is his total and permanent refusal of the extreme right; his personal humanism and his attachment to republican values
The FJN sends its family the deepest condolences and salutes its memory.
