-A young black Jew shot by police in Haifa

On the night of Sunday to Monday, a young black Jew was shot in Haifa by a police officer and died of his injuries at Rambam Hospital.
The police officer, suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder, was arrested a few hours later.
The police officer, who was not wearing the uniform, fired at Salomon Takka, 19, who died of his injuries at the hospital.
Salomon Takka, a 17-year-old black Jew, was shot at close range in Haifa’s Kiryat Hayim neighborhood.
Police reported that the officer was not on duty and was with his wife and three young children in a nearby playground. He noticed a street fight between several young people and tried to separate them. After identifying themselves as a police officer, the young people started throwing stones at him. After clashes, the policeman said he “felt threatened and shot the young man.
FJN is asking Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan for an investigation and for a quick and transparent conclusion on the details of this murder.
